Gary Scheiner is not only a well-known diabetes educator and author of the popular book Think Like a Pancreas, he is also a type 1 diabetic for the past 25 years. A couple of years ago, at the ADA Conference, Medtronic’s booth featured a car equipped with glucose-sensing technology right in the dashboard. We all giggled. Cool idea… sort of. Right?
