For the month of January, I gave up eating all grains, dairy, artificial sweeteners, natural sweeteners (except fruit), and legumes. Did I discover that I have some kind of crazy gluten/lactose/stevia intolerance? Nope.

Don’t Google the InBar. If you do, you’ll find the Indiana State Bar Association, International Network for Bamboo and Rattan, an Israeli kibbutz in Galilee, or a night club in Croatia. You won’t find the D-friendly InBar snack. Not yet, at least.

I don’t write much about food choices. But believe me, as a person with diabetes (and gluten intolerance), I struggle with them all the time. We PWDs are used to hearing the “generic” nutritional suggestions from our dietitians and CDEs: don’t eat too much sugar, eat lots of veggies, drink water, etc. But what about something more concrete, as in: what are some specific good choices to put on your plate?
