If you have diabetes and have not yet been to a local TCOYD event, boo on you. Seriously, you are missing out!
These day-long conferences, taking place on Saturdays in “smaller venues” around the country (i.e. cities like Albany and Providence, instead of NYC and Boston) are geared at all of us “local people” with diabetes who could use a boost of information and motivation. I love the name of this awareness campaign. I mean, if anything ever deserved the moniker “24/7,” it’s this exasperating disease.
Actually, the full video campaign is called “The Betes: Now” and was put together for this summer’s Children with Diabetes Friends for Life conference by D-blogger Bennet Dunlap’s ueber-creative kids. Read the details in my earlier report.
