There’s been a longstanding discussion among patient advocates over the need for new, more descriptive names that would better differentiate between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Is there something in the water? Seriously… it’s like there’s a contagion out there at the moment spreading misinformation about diabetes.
Sadly, movies and media missing the point is nothing new for the Diabetes Community. It happens all too often.

Talk show funny guy Conan O’Brien is at it again. He has diabetes on his mind, apparently.
This morning we reported about a show in December in which he hosted a type 1 artist from Texas who has the unique ability to paint with her lipstick kisses.
