One of classic rock artist Tom Petty’s great tunes is called “The Waiting,” and the chorus proclaims that “the waiting is the hardest part.”
Well, when it comes to diabetes doctors, Tom Petty got it wrong. That’s not the case. At least not for me.

You might say music industry celebrity Randy Jackson is a pretty big deal.

Who remembers cloves? Ooh, I am so dating myself. I think that song 1985 may have been inspired by me. Anyhoo, I noticed that the other big campaign underway among the diabetes educator community, at least in California, is a big push to get PWDs to quit smoking.
Now mind you, smoking’s pretty much anti-social in this state anyway. It’s illegal in practically all public places, and you get dirty looks just for doing it…
