In November, we hosted a logo design contest for famous diabetes educator Gary Scheiner’s newest venture, Type 1 University, a series of online diabetes education courses. The winner was the talented D-OC leader Gina Capone. Last Wednesday, diabetes researchers and advocates from around the country convened in Washington, DC, for an FDA hearing on the Artificial Pancreas with the aim of making this pipe dream a reality.
