Who caught yesterday’s New York Times article in which Dr. John Buse states that diabetes is the “Rodney Dangerfield of diseases,’’ meaning it don’t get no respect? Yipes!
Apparently he has a point, as evidenced by results of focus groups run by the American Diabetes Association: “On a scale of 1 to 10, cancer and heart disease consistently ranked as 9s and 10s. But diabetes scored only 4s and 5s.”
