PROs:

  • Being connected to the iPhone means you never have to worry about resetting times on your meter
  • The easy view of trends is really appealing
  • able to add notes to data points
  • app can be used with or without the meter

CONs:

  • difficult to figure out how to share the logbook, in order to text or email results
  • No test-by-test graph like you see in other apps like MySugr or iBGStar
  • Apple compatible only

PROs:

  • “Diabetes Monster” provides a personal touch and makes it interactive
  • uses positive reinforcement through their point system to encourage behaviors such as BG checks, recording medication, exercise, etc.
  • can easily send reports to your endocrinologist or other HCP

CONs:

  • currently does not sync with other diabetes care devices
  • upgrading beyond Basic to Pro version costs extra

Glucose Buddy Diabetes Logbook Manager – Review

  • Does have all of the standard logging capabilities

CONs:

  • a lot of advertisements and promotions are included in the app
  • a little tedious to go through different tabs to log info
  • the many different data points on the graph and in the log can be really confusing
