When I featured the Joe Toucan Diabetes Project a few weeks ago, created by Hollywood producer and diabetes advocate Rocky Lang, I discovered that Rocky is not the only D-advocate in the LA-based Lang family. His 18-year-old daughter, Nikki, who was diagnosed at age 10, is a talented singer and songwriter whose most recent project is supporting the American Diabetes Association’s “Stop Diabetes” campaign. I’m a huge Crystal Bowersox fan. Personally, I think this husky-voiced “busker” should have won this year’s American Idol competition, but it’s still freakin’ amazing to take 2nd place in this larger-than-life national competition.

Mollie and Jackie Singer are 19-almost-20-year-old twins from Las Vegas, Nevada, who have spent the better part of their lives advocating on behalf of people with diabetes.
