With regard to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, I think one of the reasons it has been so successful is because people LOVE knowing that others are going to watch a video in which they are the star. So many times people post videos or photos on Facebook which others ignore, but with the Ice Bucket Challenge others feel obliged to watch (since it could be that they are going to be nominated, and they wouldn’t want to miss mention of their own name!) We need to find something equally successful for Type I diabetes. I may not have the facts straight, but I believe I read last week that the Ice Bucket Challenge had already raised 55 MILLION dollars for ALS research!

There is a LOT to love in this roundup, Amy! I’m smiling from ear to ear about so many of them – but I especially love Chris’s flow chart! Haha!

    Thanks for the mention!

Thanks for the shout-out!!! No idea what I’ll buy with those $1 bills in my meter case, but for now I’m saving them for emergency vending machine low treats, if needed. ;)

Ha – that’s what I was thinking too, Karen! I tend to tote a few dollar bills and coins with me everywhere, just in case of hypo emergency where a vending machine is needed. :)
