    The hotel my husband and I stayed at in Savannah, Georgia, had a large pitcher of ice-cold water in which floated mint leaves and slices of cucumber. Very refreshing.

    Thanks for the tip Mike. Looking forward to trying out Wow Water. For now, if I can’t stand drinking water anymore, I go for caffeine-free iced tea (with a little fresh mint).

    I’m with Mary: crush a few herbs, toss in one or two slices of fruit into a giant picture, and it’s pretty much zero carb but full of flavor.

    My favorite is strawberry mint, or orange-thyme. Be sure to use fresh herbs, and don’t destem them (you don’t want bits of herbs in your water – just having soaked in the water is enough to get the essence).

    I’m not much into sports drinks, but I have seen Powerade Zero in those Coca-Cola touch-screen soda fountains before. I wonder if they sell that in bottlds to use at home. I imagine it’s got the “benefits” of a sports drink without the energy (aka sugar).

    Trader Joe’s has an electrolyte water that has no added flavors or colors. It’s awesome.
