HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL!
While you’re hopefully out barbequing and throwing the Frisbee (and not working), we’re at our stations with four more great Diabetes Community product reviews — just published in the new DiabetesMine Test Kitchen, where products designed to improved life with diabetes are evaluated by the only people qualified to say whether they hit the mark: us patients!
Please note that we’ve added a new feature: each video review now includes a written list of Pro’s and Con’s, offering a quick at-a-glance look at the reviewer’s assessment of the product at hand. Please browse through and check ‘em all out.
Today’s new reviews are:
VERIO IQ glucose meter reviewed by D-blogger Melissa Lee.
Melissa was one of our Patient Voices winners from 2013 — a mom and active advocate who’s had type 1 diabetes for almost a quarter-century. On the Verio IQ, she really likes the pattern alerts that allow you to see glucose trends by time of day.
ONETOUCH ULTRA 2 glucose meter reviewed by Corinna Cornejo, another one of our 2013 Patient Voices winners. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes fairly recently in 2009, Corinna now works for the Diabetes Hands Foundation. She’s a wife and mom of two teenagers and currently lives in Hawaii.
She gives the OneTouch Ultra 2 a 4 out of 5 rating as a “reliable, dependable secondary meter.”
ONETOUCH ULTRA MINI glucose meter, also reviewed by Corinna. She finds this newer model accurate and easy to use, but not quite so “mini” as you might expect.
She finds lots of things to like about the sleek new pump design of the t:slim.
