    Quite interesting post. I would find some time to fix my old car with parts coming from scratches. That is my MacGyver style. Actually, I liked that series.

    Never did any MacGyvering with diabetes stuff, but this reminds me of my early teen years when I used to torture large Georgia cockroaches with syringes filled with water. It was pretty brutal. Sorry. But we hated them in our house.

    But the line that sticks out to me from your article, Mike, is: “I have a box full of about 18 old meters that date back to the mid ’90s.” A diabetes pack rat! Finding meter collectors has been one of my favorite parts of discovering the DOC. I’ve only got my current one.

    What does everyone do with all their old meters and strips that are expired? I also have enough lancets to stick my whole city as there always seems to be more lancets to strips ratio.
