    Wonderful, wonderful story, Bob Leonard, esp. since I live in Philly and remember you well. Like you, I contracted type 2 from an outside agent – antirejection meds for a kidney t’plant (lithium ruined my kidneys) and like you, I don’t hide my diabetes but check my glucose in public – beep beep goes my meter – and inject w/o worrying what people think. Look f/w to hearing of your many future acting and comedy successes Please write another post for the great Diabetes Mine.

    Great Story, Bob, and hurrah for you! You are a beacon for many who wish to live a normal, healthy life in spite of diabetes.

    Those who do take a pro-active approach to their own health will find a happier and healthy future ahead.
