When 1,500 people come together to talk diabetes and brainstorm on how to improve the patient experience, you can generally expect great things! One particular moment doesn’t stand out about the MedicineX conference at Stanford University this past week. Instead, it was all of the moments!
What I keep coming back to in my mind is the recurring theme of this event: that the voice of the patient is incredibly meaningful, and should be a part of the healthcare process, from beginning to end.

Those of us in the U.S. sometimes feel as though our Diabetes Community friends across the pond get all the coolest gadgets and medications before we do Stateside.

Managing type 2 diabetes can be just as hard as managing type 1. Wouldn’t it be cool if someone were encouraging patients to set a motivational D-management goal for the week, and they’d donate $5 to an influential diabetes organization or charity in the process?
