Our team will be out of the office tomorrow as we all head to Philadelphia to attend the 72nd annual American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions conference. We at the ‘Mine are very excited to be covering this event for the 8th year running (!)
For the first time ever, the ADA is all over social media, not only with a twitter feed (@ADA_DiabetesPro), a Facebook page, an iPhone app and a Blackberry/Android app for attendees, but also by hosting a Blogger Happy Hour meet-and-greet event with ADA officials Friday evening! We are quite curious to learn all that we can about what’s happening in diabetes industry and academia. And we know you’re all curious too. Sooo….
Got specific questions you’d like us to address at the event? Please post them below!
We can’t promise we’ll get to everything, but we’ll sure as heck try…
And btw, for those PWDs with inquiring minds, you’ve got just a few more days to enter our Patient Voices Contest and be the force of change you’d like to see in the Diabetes World. Go check out the contest now and come back here with your ADA queries.
Look for our ADA conference updates starting Monday, June 11, and over the weekend via our twitter feed.

Our report shows that cure funding is shrinking for all of the major diabetes non-profits. Why is this happening? Why isn’t cure funding more focused?

I’d love to know about any developments in web-based tracking software that supports multiple meters/pumps. Also any development in the new glucagon delivery devices.
Is anyone starting to support Macs with their software? What about software that integrates into social media to support/encourage folks?
Have fun, and remember I want any free insulin pumps that Tandem may be handing out.
I would be interested to here about any developments with oral insulin. I know that Generex has Oral -Lyn and Mannkind has Afrezza. However, it seems unclear when and if these products will ever make it to market.
