    I have been type 1 for 34 yrs…on the pump 8 yrs..have never had a problem with weight till menopause..i eat very low carb..have lost weight in the past but since menopause i cant seem to lose..i dont gain but i dont lose either…why do u think that is?

    Surely it comes down to the food we shove in our mouths? I know there is more to it being type one myselfon a pump. I find it easier to lose weight no i am no longer taking lantus. The amount of people i know who are convinced that metformin is the sole reason for weight gain.

    Sounds like I should ask about restarting Metformin. I religiously carb-count, so taking something that makes me less hungry won’t help much. I eat to live not vice versa.
