    However, was it not due to the work with glycemic index that we now don’t just avoid sugar?

    Given how cellular respiration works, anyone who ever told you to avoid sugar doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

    I think the glycemic index can generally give you an idea of what it MIGHT do to your blood sugar, but your response may vary. We are all DIFFERENT. What works for one doesn’t necessarily work for another. Experimenting on yourself is the best way to guage how you respond to a food.

    You can try to avoid sugar but not energy. Many things are transformed into glucose.

    I recently tried Nutrisystem’s Diabetic Meals. I feel there meals help me maintain my blood sugar and allow me to management my weight. They are worth giving a shot. They worked for me.
