Can I please please have a lime green lancing device from Accucheck? Or one that glows in the dark! Or one that comes with a sheet of stickers to decorate it–like racing stripes or happy faces? Diabetes is DEPRESSING. Anything to add a little cheeriness to the drudgery that is D will be worth quite a bit of D bucks to me. :)

Great effort, but as long as the providers of our medical devices and advancements remain predominantly concerned with profit, we will remain behind the technological curve. I remain baffled why my insulin pump still communicates to my glucose sensor using RF when Bluetooth would actually let me wear my sensor and pump on opposite sides of my body. Why does my firmware version for my sensor remain at 1.1 while all my apps update weekly? And this iBGStar Blood Glucose Monitoring System? Great, love it. I DON’T HAVE AN IPHONE! Can we make one for a standard that doesn’t screw everyone else that doesn’t want to pay just to be like everyone else? Why not make one to match a USB Mini? Oh, yeah…. Money.

Check with the insulin manufacturers. You can often get insulin for free if you qualify. Check their websites for more information.
