I had a guy give me sugar free chocolate once – while it was thoughtful, he didn’t yet know that I can eat regular chocolate and it tastes MUCH MUCH better! (And even though real sugar isn’t good for you, it’s better than chemical-laden substitutes!)

Is this the equivalent of Oprah’s Favorite Things for the DOC? ;)

I always enjoy shopping at ThinkGeek.com, but hey, I come from good nerdy stock and married even nerdier. It’s good for all the geeky valentines in your life, regardless of if they like pop culture, programming, science or bacon!

Looks like some of their V-Day gift ideas include an anatomically correct heart necklace, chocolate shaped like Han Solo frozen in carbonite, and a stuffed cat that sings “Soft Kitty”. :)

Haha, if only we could afford to give each item away to all of our readers! Alas…

“And you’re getting one… and you’re getting one… and you’re getting one!” LOL

One of my best gifts ever was a little packet of candy for christmas at work… my packet included the carbohydrate info! I was floored to know exactly what was in each piece. Turns out the person had consulted my husband on what to get me – and he told them that I could eat some chocolate in moderation as long as I knew EXACTLY what was in it. My heart still swoons that someone took the time to do that for me.
