    December 21st 2012 will be 50 years of T1 for me. Something bold that could encourage others seems to be calling. Perhaps, riding my bicycle from the Pacific to the Atlantic? Anyone like to join me for some or all of it? Maybe in April 2013?

    This year I’ll celebrate 40 years of living with diabetes. If it’s possible to imagine it, this is a great time to have diabetes. There’s a huge amount of online support from the DOC, the devices are improving, and we’re starting to better understand how to use them and other techniques Ginger’s Diabetes Science Experiments book and Wil’s Beyond Fingersticks book are two example.

    I hope and believe we’re going to see the pace of development heat up. Thanks to advocacy and empowerment, I’m also hoping we can help the FDA keep up with this.!
