    About calcium, I just had a DEXA scan, and was told that I’m mildly osteopenic in the femurs. And the advice from my gyno was to take a calcium supplement along with vitamin D. So, I haven’t actually been TESTED as low in calcium, but nevertheless, advised to supplement. Type 1′s DO have an increased risk of osteoporosis, and taking measures to prevent it seems like a good idea, but again, how much is too much?
