Great inspiration and interview! I’ve been wanting to get into GD for quite a while now, and reading here knowing that even if you are self taught you can achieve such great thing is truly inspiring.

These is inspiring because you never loose hope since you were diagnosed and you never think that your illness is a hindrance for you to be succesful. Other people think that if they were diagnosed to have an illness they always think it’s already the end of their life. I hope people who have illness will read your article so you can help them cope.

I have the great fortune of working for JDRF in Nashville and getting to work with Ryan. I’m a huge fan of the ‘Mine (I was dxd with type 1 almost 25 years ago) and I read regularly (although I usually just lurk!), so I was so thrilled to see this write-up on Ryan and the GREAT work he is doing. What a wonderful example of how everyone has something to offer – in this case, incredible creativity and graphic design skill – to help make a difference!
