This week is my very first time at the annual BlogWorld & New Media Expo in Las Vegas. In a word: BIG.
The hotel seems to spread for miles and miles, including six restaurants, a huge casino and a lower level with sweeping spa and beach area (no, I haven’t checked that out yet).Ā My hotel room here is very nearly bigger than the one my whole family is living in back home. Errr.

When I featured the Joe Toucan Diabetes Project a few weeks ago, created by Hollywood producer and diabetes advocate Rocky Lang, I discovered that Rocky is not the only D-advocate in the LA-based Lang family. Happily, Harvard University appears to have jumped on the diabetes innovation bandwagon recently, with a crowdsourcing experiment called the Harvard Catalyst InnoCentive Ideation Challenge, in which Harvard president Dan Faust sent out a call to the great minds around this legendary university for creative answers to the question: “What do we not know to cure type 1 diabetes?”
