    Great post, Amy. Totally perfect timing and an inspiration to all those growing up with Type 1 who might want to one day be a part of the military in some capacity.

    In Israel we have many type 1 soldiers in the army in all positions. (Unfortunately this is part of our life there, Army duty for us is like Insulin i.e. a must).
    Any way we have also few jet fighters pilots in the army that are type 1, they do have to switch to a two pilots jets after diagnostics.
