Raynaud’s phenomenon is a condition resulting in a particular series of changes in temperature. Skin discoloration occurs because an abnormal spasm of the blood vessels causes a diminished blood supply to the local tissues. I think that the women are mostly affected to this.

I too have Raynauds Disease for about 2 years now. I Have had Type 1 Diabetes for 36 years, but have always been in good control and have NO complications. I have wondered if there is a connection, but from what I understand, Raynauds has to do with the blood vessels, not the nerves. Would love to learn more about the connection.
