Diabetes, If You Know What I Mean…
Ever seen that Who’s Line is it Anyway bit called “If You Know What I Mean?“ Me loves that show! And this past week, as much fun as I had on vacation with my three girls in sunny SoCal, I felt like the only PWD on the planet. Hello, People Who Understand Diabetes – do you know what I mean?!
“Ticket – check! ID – check! Load of medical supply crap – check!” (if you know what I mean…)
“Airplane snacks? No thanks, I’m already stacked, if you know what I mean…”
“Ride the roller coaster together? Sure, but don’t lean on my site, if you know what I mean…”
“Loving this beach! But I think I’ve got sand in my cannula, if you know what I mean…”
“You think you’ve got funny tan lines! I’ve got spots you can’t imagine, if you know what I mean…”
“I’ve got a few small bottles I need to keep cool, if you know what I mean…”
“What, that lump? That’s just my sugar, Sugar… if you know what I mean.”
“My adhesive’s coming loose, if you know what I mean…”
“They should make bathing suits with connector holes, if you know what I mean…”
“This snack bar is a ‘bolus bonanza’ — if you know what I mean…”
“I was so high, I was beyond the munchies, if you know what I mean…”
“Travel light? Yeah, but this bag and I are inseparable, if you know what I mean…”
“If I slur, hand me the candy, if you know what I mean…”
“Yes, a can of Coke can be a matter of life and death — if you know what I mean.”
“I spent half my vacation making ‘corrections,’ if you know what I mean…”
