Proud Mama
I suppose it was just a matter of time. No keeping my gals off the Internet for long: my 10-year-old has started her own blog.
You Rock, Lelly!

So very cute! How fun to have a daughter who looks like her mother.
Posted by: Lyn Fenton | May 24th, 2009 at 5:23 pmWhat a little gangsta rapper! too young to be so hip.

Posted by: Scott K. Johnson | May 25th, 2009 at 1:56 pmAwesome!! Ten years old… a blog… we’d better hurry, girl!! Our children are going VERY fast!
Posted by: Manny Hernandez | May 26th, 2009 at 5:01 pmWhatever happened to childhood? Should a 10 year old pose in such a way as a rapper? I guess this is what you get in San Fran.
Posted by: Gianna B | May 26th, 2009 at 6:20 pm@ Gianna B: childhood = putting on funny glasses to pose for a picture.
The term “rapper” came from comments here; I don’t think this gal has an idea of what being a rapper means.
@ Lyn: Thanks! I call this one my “mini-me”
Posted by: AmyT | May 26th, 2009 at 10:14 pmAs a mother of a “rapper”, the oversized aviator glasses and the inverted V hand signal are well known gang signals. I doubt she knows this, but this is a popular pose with young people. I was shocked to see a 10 year old though. Where I live a mom wouldn’t have posted a picture like this because we know what these symbols mean. I live in it everyday and its horrible.
Posted by: Gianna B | May 27th, 2009 at 10:53 amWow, Gianna – you read a lot more into this photo than I did (the unhip mom syndrome?) Anyway, I hope others don’t view it as promoting gang activity. Sure wasn’t meant that way.
