If the authors don't even mention reducing high glycemic index carbs as a way to control diabetes, I certainly wouldn't recommend it. For many diabetics, just doing this can help them get good BG numbers. So why the secret??

Thanks for sharing information on this excellent resource for anyone managing diabetes or prediabetes. Practical guides to living with diabetes are always welcome. On my blog at www.dentistryfordiabetics.com/blog, I write about the importance of good dental care on managing blood sugar levels for people with diabetes or prediabetes.

“It’s a day-to-day balancing act between making the behavior changes necessary to stay healthy and accomplishing the long to-do lists of daily life,” the authors write in press statement about the book. “There will be days when managing diabetes will be more center stage, and days where your other commitments will not allow you to be as on-track with your self-care plan.”

Wow! I don't think that I've ever slowed down long enough from life and diabetes to look at it that way. It more often feels like "putting one foot in front of the other" and making each day as well as possible.

Hmmm. Something to contemplate.
