Liberty Video Alert No. 5: Five Key Medical Tests (Know Your Numbers)

Here it is: the final segment in the new “Learning with Liberty” video series I’ve hosted. Not surprisingly, this one is based on the book I co-authored with Dr. Richard Jackson of Joslin Diabetes Center, all about how to get a handle on your overall health with diabetes by monitoring and understanding five key medical tests (I would list them, but I want you to watch the video – grin).

Speaking of grin, at some point in the middle of taping, they told me to smile, so I did.  Oy.

The Liberty folks seem pretty happy with this series, and they’re even talking about having me do more. Wow!  Meanwhile, good ‘ol Wilford is still standing up for them.  In fact, the guy’s apparently done a lot more than just the fabled Liberty commercials.  For his lifetime advocacy efforts, he’s just won himself an award from the American Diabetes Association.  You can view him talkin’ turkey about his medical reports, with quite the curmudgeonly sense of humor, HERE.

While you’re on YouTube, you can now view my video series and also grab the codes for embedding them elsewhere. So far, Liberty has uploaded Insulin Pumps Explained (Part 1) and Pump Models and Features (Part 2).  Enjoy.

  1. Amy – OH! You look so pretty in that purple blouse and smiling is always good. You’re doing a great job spreading the word to benefit all those challenged with diabetes. Thanks!!!

  2. This was a good video. Four of them I have done at the proper time. One of them, the Microalbumin test, I had never heard of. I saw this video before & I plan to call the office & check that out.
