Not sure if you knew, but Monday night on the show Intervention on A&E, they will be showcasing a Type 1 diabetic who does not take care of himself and has been near death multiple times. The smartest thing I did this holiday season was see my endo at the beginning of December before the onslaught of holiday goodies (I am a self confessed sweets aholic and I was awful this holiday season) so I don't have to face an A1C until March (plenty of time to get back on the wagon).
