When you have diabetes, that is.
By the way, the antibiotics have kicked in well and my recent infection has shrunk down to the size of a small walnut in my belly. Wonder drug, them antibiotics! I shudder to think that in the old days, they would have treated that thing with arsenic and a knife.
So while we’re enjoying this day of rest from our usual routines, let’s all take a few moments to celebrate modern medicine. You know how important it is. Otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this blog

Just asking, but do you still stick your finger, as it looks like in the picture? I’m surprised you don’t do your hand. As for the other part of what you said, you’re right, each day is somewhat laborious, but I lose more often than not; addicted to sweets, unfortunately.
Nice you give credit to the magic bullets of ‘modern medicine’. But why don’t you give some credit to the nice guy doctor who prescribed the antibiotic? Good it worked. Diabetes causes stubborn infections. Your hubby was right that he forced you to go to the doctor when the infection was still weak.
Glad your feeling better and yes thank goodness for modern medicine.

Thanks. I needed that. After going through what I felt was unnecessary hassle this morning with my quarterly bloodletting, I was in a bad mood. Now I’m feeling very blessed that I live in a time and place where good care for diabetics is a possibility!
Amy,
Thanks for the link love. I’m honored.
