Depending on the feed (and I haven't figured out the why or wherefore), Google will either show the entire article or just the first two sentences. Click on the title once it shows up in the reader, and the article in question will pop up in a new tab or a new window (depending on your browser).

Of the blogs I subscribe to, Six Until Me, Tales of My Thirties, Eating Liberally, What to Eat, Resilient Like the Tree, Allie's Voice, and The B.A.D. Blog all appear in full, whereas all dLife blogs, Diabetes Mine, YDMV, all Diabetes Central blogs, and all Diabetes Self Management blogs show only the first sentence or two. The Lancet also shows up the first several sentences, which are either the first few sentences of the article (if it has no distinct abstract, this is what appears on the TOC pages) or a variation of the article's abstract.

Not sure why Amy, but with Google Reader it only shows a synopsis and not the whole article and images like most other feeds.

Concerning Goggle Reader, if I might add this comment. I use this saying quite a bit to get our Office to join in and quit resisting change: "DRINK THE KOOL-AID" Have a wonderful weekend.
