A note from the management today: Wanted to let you all know that the issue with the RSS feed for DiabetesMine — which went a little haywire following our recent site redesign — is now officially fixed. There are two functioning feeds to choose from:
http://www.diabetesmine.com/wp-rdf.php (main feed)
and
www.diabetesmine.com/feed (alternate)
And if you’re looking for an easy way to follow this blog, along with all your other favorite
blogs, no need anymore to sign up for some specialized blog service: Google’s got you covered. You can easily subscribe now directly from Google using Google Reader.
In case you haven’t explored this service yet, here’s how it works:
1) You have to register with Google first and set up your own account (easy to do off their homepage).
2) To find the service, you click on “more” up in the top left of the Google homepage, and select “Reader.”
3) You can start adding favorite blogs right away just by clicking “add subscription” in the left-hand margin and searching for the blogs you like.
NOTE: You don’t even need to know the fancy RSS URL I’ve presented above. If you just search for “DiabetesMine” for example, my blog feed will pop up on the right, and all you need to do is click the button below it that says “+ subscribe.”
OK, Google is officially taking over the world. But it works really well, so let’s just go with it, shall we? Happy Reading.

Concerning Goggle Reader, if I might add this comment. I use this saying quite a bit to get our Office to join in and quit resisting change: “DRINK THE KOOL-AID” Have a wonderful weekend.
Not sure why Amy, but with Google Reader it only shows a synopsis and not the whole article and images like most other feeds.
Depending on the feed (and I haven’t figured out the why or wherefore), Google will either show the entire article or just the first two sentences. Click on the title once it shows up in the reader, and the article in question will pop up in a new tab or a new window (depending on your browser).
Of the blogs I subscribe to, Six Until Me, Tales of My Thirties, Eating Liberally, What to Eat, Resilient Like the Tree, Allie’s Voice, and The B.A.D. Blog all appear in full, whereas all dLife blogs, Diabetes Mine, YDMV, all Diabetes Central blogs, and all Diabetes Self Management blogs show only the first sentence or two. The Lancet also shows up the first several sentences, which are either the first few sentences of the article (if it has no distinct abstract, this is what appears on the TOC pages) or a variation of the article’s abstract.
