New Look, Same Feel
Welcome to the newly refreshed and updated DiabetesMine.com. These changes have been a long time coming, and I’m very excited and hope that the new look accomplishes all its goals while still providing you that warm fuzzy feeling you love. (Ahem.)
What we were shooting for was: better use of space, nice tabs up there to highlight stuff — instead of just a stacked list of “categories,” more useful sidebar links, and most of all, an infinitely more searchable site. The individual pages should make it a heck of a lot easier to find and read all the topics that interest you the most.
You will also note the addition of a “Marketplace” tab that takes you to the sort of modified Classified Ads section I had mentioned before. This area features little ads from hand-picked providers who offer high-quality products to this community. That is to say, we’re screening them carefully, but in case you find anything there that seems inappropriate or offends, let me know asap.
Meanwhile, I’m nosing around and trying to get comfy in my new home here. Please note that things may be a little bumpy for a while, as I am not feeling all that warm and fuzzy about the new hosting platform just yet. I may have trouble posting links, or getting images where I want them to appear, so if you happen to hear a blood-curdling scream from the general direction of San Francisco in the next few weeks, rest assured it’s just my website growing pains.
