Maybe the 24-7-365 nature of diabetes has some sort of mental time warp kind of effect. Everyone knows about Dog Years, right? Maybe we need Diabetic Years. Did you sit on your hands so as not to smack him? lol I saw an endo the other day for the first time who didn't take the time to read the super long questionanaire he sent me before the visit, nor did he ask me why I was there. Not his first words, but practically his first, were "Well, I wouldn't look at you and call you SLIM so you could certainly drop a few pounds." Had he actually read the form he would have known I have lost 50 pounds, work with a CDE, run daily, and eat healthily. I thought about smacking him, yes. But instead I nicely asked him to read my form so we could start over again. To his credit, he did.
