Happy Hanukkah!

In a few hours, the sun will go down here on the West Coast, and we’ll begin our eight-night Festival of Lights. (For the Gentiles in the audience, this darn holiday is all over the secular map, because it falls on the 25th day of the month of Kislev, in an ancient Jewish calendar that was never “standardized” with a leap year correction). So here it is, Dec. 4, and we’ve managed to rip down all the Turkey decorations and get our dreidels on the walls, and shop for and wrap presents for 3 kids x 8 nights. You do the math. I’m too exhausted.

Still, very quickly, few cool resources for Jewish PWDS:

The Jewish Diabetes Association

Jewish Friends with Diabetes

Nechama Cohen’s EnLITEned Kosher Cooking book

Adam Chandler’s Chanukkah Song (8 Craaazy Nights :)

Hag sameach! (Happy Holiday!)

    Happy Hanukkah!

Amy, this is totally off topic but I have to ask.. would you consider offering full feeds instead of the partial excerpts? I end up NOT clicking through much of the time because I’m usually reading on the fly so I miss a lot of your posts.. :(

If you go to the Jewish Diabetes Association web page there is the following link: “DUE TO FIRE CLICK HERE FOR OUR NEW ADDRESS.” I hope it had nothing to do with Hanukkah.
