Hi Catherine, I have been on the omnipod for about 5 months. I have gotten into the ocean (that is the number one reason I got the onmipod because it's water-proof) and it stayed on. I don't think you should worry about the pod falling off. :) Every thing will be ok if you are careful.

i am seriously considering the omnipod, my doctor would love it if i was on a pump. i seem to have t he same issue that you do, i catch watch chains all the time, i can't imagine a tube from a pump. i had a few questions though... is it compatible with mac? and what about seat belts? i live in ny which can be fairly naziistic about seatbelts

My biggest concern about the Omnipod is whether it will stay on during exercise.

I sweat a lot when exercising.

What is the experience of otehrs using Omnipod?

Regular infusion sets can cause "gushers" too. I find by piercing the potential site just slightly before inserstion I can check to make sure the spot is not too close to a vein. Glad you are enjoying it!

The attached A1c / Blood Glucose chart is a nice touch. For PWDs who seek the algebraic relationship between BG and A1c results, you can use the following formula:
(A1c x 35.6) - 77.3 = equivalent average BG over the period

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying pumping! Congrat's on achieving such great control. And hey, having a pump with a tube isn't so bad for most people (although I'd prefer something tubeless but smaller in the future!). But I'm glad you found an option that works for you!
