OK, so it’s totally the end of the day now. The kids are in bed, the cat has been ousted. TiVo is running. And I’m scanning for all the cyber-stuff that happened without me in the last 3-4 hours. Pathetic. But valuable, too, because I very nearly missed another official “delurking day” yet again. Geez.
Here’s my reminder button of choice, in Choice Purple:
For those of you unfamiliar with the term, “DeLurking” means “to start contributing actively to a community having been a lurker previously.” A lurker is someone who “browses social media and other interactive systems, but rarely participates.”
So if you haven’t spoken up here before, now’s your chance. I sure would hecka love to hear from you. The comment box is right down there below these words.

Not that I’m much of a lurker anymore, but I feel like your posts are quite comment-provoking. Making it hard for lurkers to remain just lurkers.
*waves hi*
Not a lurker, but wanted to say hi. I’m glad to see your site has been getting a lot of buzz lately.
Love the button of choice Amy. Once I found your blog, I immediately became active. It’s nice to not be a Lurker anymore, you have DElurked me…..lol.
Thanks for the comment on my blog – even if you accused me of possibly being a lurker here! See I comment!
I am new to this blog, and if I feel that I can can contribute, I won’t be a lurker. Anyone out there from Israel?
Amy,
OK, you got me. I have been visiting your site for a while now, without saying anything. I guess (with my head hung low) I could be called a lurker. I am not proud of this and hope that now I am out of the shadows, my BG will refelect this be stablizing around 100 all day! Ha, I know, Fat chance! I love your site as it gives clear informationa dn what I think we all are looking for… Hope. I know we have been promised the moon by everyone in the medical field but I still am hopeful with each new advance in treating this unrelentless condition. I have had type 1 for 30 years and just within the last 3 months started pumping. Thank you for a great site! I promise not to stay in Lurkville any longer! Dave
Hiya Amy, Well I guess I am guilty as charged. I have lurked and therefore sinned. Please absolve me I do have a good excuse. Glad, your still out here.
Lurking has it’s place. Us lurkers still get valuble information, and dont add to the clutter of repeating the same thing over and over again.
Hi Amy,
I am officially de-lurking to say
thanks for your comments on my blog. I’m happy you stopped by, and I’d be glad to add you to my blogroll. Your blog is a wealth of information, and adding you is a pleasure.
Take care,
Lea
Have been lurking since searching for omnipod user experiences as we figure out…to pump or not to pump…and if so what pump for my son (8) who was dx in March. Wanting it now but we’re going through the clinic hoops, and eventually the insurance stuff too. Anyway, since finding you I’ve been checking it out and I love your blog–funny & honest & helpful.
Lurk? Me?
I’ve read your blog for a while now and enjoy it very much. Thanks for the all the info! I often email my Pump Support Group and say, “ya gotta read this!”. So they thank you too.
Keep up the good work…
