    A New Zealand based company called Living Cell Technology is beginning human clinical trials of an encapsulated porcine islet cell transplant (announced within the last couple of weeks). If you are looking for the best near-term hope, this is probably it.

    It makes me feel good to know that others are working every day to help my son and the others that deal with this disease.
