Tell A Friend About Day

Dear Readers,

Please humor me as I declare today official “Tell-Another-Person-About-DiabetesMine Day.”  Self-serving?  I guess so.  But I figure after winning that journalism award I can indulge just a bit.  Also, if Mr. “Insider” over at PharmaGossip can do it, so can I.  After all, I’m busting my chops for my online community, too.  So, with apologies to Jack, I echo:Celebrityaspx

Thank you so much for your loyalty and discerning good taste in choosing as part of your daily blogging ritual.

It warms my little D-heart to know that so many of you are such firm fans.

Could I now ask a small favor, please?

Could you each find someone to share your little secret with?

This would help DiabetesMine to continue its miraculous growth rate and continue to help “spread the word” around the blogosphere.

Please do “your bit” and tell someone today about

Thanking you in anticipation — and may your BG levels remain temperate!

Faithfully Yours,

    Hi Jim,
Oh my Lord you rock. I just read your little blurb and nearly fell of my (ridiculously stiff and upright) office chair laughing.

By the power vested in me (if I had any) I’d officially knight you.
    :) Amy

Thanks for the hat tip! Have emailed a few chums about your blog.
FYI – PharmaGossip got a 20% increase in hits after my pleading to my readers.

But PG is a little bit of a “dirty secret” ( (half of its readers are in Big Pharma). So you might get more……!

    Dear Amy,

I’ve never written anybody about their website before, but I just had to write you and thank you for your wonderful website! I was diagnosed with diabetes three weeks ago. It seems like three years with all I’ve had to learn about this frustrating disease, but as far as getting a handle on it I’ve got so much to learn that it seems like only 3 days.

I feel so lucky that I finally stumbled upon your website while Googling about diabetes. You’ve given me more practical information about controlling my BG than ALL of my searching the net – and more understanding and support too.

Not only that, and just as important in my view, is being able to visit your website every day to learn more and read your blogs about how you are handling things, good or bad. Nobody’s perfect and you don’t claim to be. I like that.
I love that you write like a real person!!!! You don’t talk down to us and aren’t overly technical, and your sense of humor is so refreshing. You’re a nut! You make me laugh! There’s not an awful lot of people out there that can find much humor in bad things that happen to us. You write good too – I see you wents to college like me.

So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ll be your loyal fan until I’m 100. Then we’ll talk about it. Oh, and I’ve certainly told two of my friends about your website. One has diabetes and the other one doesn’t, but she’s getting “that look” now when I talk about it, so I thought she could read about diabetes from you and maybe understand why I talk about it so much right now. You know what I mean, lol.

Please keep up the good work! We neeeeeed you!

    Forever Faithfully Yours,

Dear Amy, I’m an RN in an allergy and asthma office with an interest in both type 1 and 2 diabetes. Since I read about you in the Wall Street Journal I tell as many people as I can about your website. Of all the many sites out there I think you have the most comprehensive and it’s certainly the best place to start. Wishing you continued success. Your fan, Lizzy J.
